Parenting comes with one guarantee which is that it will fail. The 'expertisation' of parenting seeks to correct these failures, and yet for all of the parenting skills and advice in circulation, being a parent is no easier and children do not seem to be much better off. Whilst failing has many negative connotations, it is also a necessary condition for a child to find their own way. Children (including adult offspring) exhibiting symptoms can evoke significant distress in parents, and the search for a cure for one's child is often unsuccessful. I provide a place for parents to speak about their child who may be exhibiting severe symptoms so as to create other possibilities as a parent which may also open new avenues for their child.
